Teaser Tuesday June 23



Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

My Teaser:

But he too was roused, out of his chair, walking away from her to the piano, where he paused, one hand resting on the raised lid, gathering his patience before he turned. In that moment the silence between them expanded.

    I've only read one book by Ian McEwan, but I really liked his writing style. I would like to read this one. The teaser really drew me in.

      This is my first one by Ian McEwan. I never read The Atonement. I am a little ashamed. :/

    Ooh love the line 'in that moment the silence between them expanded' - makes me want to know why the character feels this way and what the conflict is.

      I did continue. Not my fav book at all. Just did not care for it.
